Kids these days...
Shall side-track this post for a paragraph first. Yesh Patrizio, I hear those tapping. Have been flat out after that post. Yeap, Ferrari did not win, and Geee! Who was that young man? Alonso Fernando it is. Second in Melbourne and first in KL and Bahrain! And how old is this guy? 23? Damn this kid is good!
Hahaha, enough of the F1 stuff, back to where the topic. Been preparing/training the national team for their coming races in Thailand this coming May. designing their program, teaching them how to traing, eat and rest! For the first time, after my taking over as road team's preformance division IC that is, we are putting together a team of junior cyclist or the U23s to an oversea's race. These guys ranges from 16 to 20. None of them have raced oversea before, and most have no idea how to prepare for an event like this. Oh... we are going for a 4-days stage race in Thailand btw.
No nothing what to do is one thing but having the right attitude is another. While we, the staff members, are always willing to help with any assistance whenever we can, some of these guys simply have the wrong mindsets. They are either over reliant on us, or they don't give a shit. We call these group of people, in our own terms, the superstars! They want everything to be done for them, but when all we ask for is results at the end of the day, there's nothing for us.
Is it gotta do with the new generations of mindsets/educations? Well, time will tell. I've got to go do some work for now. will back!
