"People like you die on the road!"

Went to do my usual morning ride today after weeks of laying of the bike due to work, and SEA Games Team preparations. This is my 2nd ride of the week and felt quite good today during the warm-up, maybe it's my watch over the food that I've been eating... well anyway, can anyone tell me if Orchard Road's speed limit has been raise? Cuz cars seems to be going faster and faster!

Was riding along onto Orchard infront of the Thai Embassy when this Silver Merc E240 just cut into me from the next lane. So i gave a light knock on the tail to let him that he was coming too close. Instead of an apology he decided to wind down his window, normally signalling a confrontation or verbal abuse, and turned to me. My normal protocol would be to tell them to get their traffic rules right first, before trying to tell me what to do. But i kept it to myself as i cannot be bothered with idiots like that anymore.

In the first place, this guy had no need what-so-ever to swerve into mine (bus-lane) has there was a bus stopping right infront of me. In fact, i was trying to get out because of the bus stopping. I did, managed to find a hole and made my way out in front of the Merc. He then, proceeded to try and confront me once more. And this time, he went something like, "It's people like you who die on the road!" Amazed, but not amused, I simply replied... "It's PEOPLE like YOU, that WE (as cyclist) die on the road!" and straight away, out of embarrasement (hmmm... does this people even know the meaning of shame?), maybe, he replied, "FUCK YOU!" I guess there's no need for the censorship of the F-word here cuz I am NOT saying it to anyone.

The first thing that came to my mind when he burst out those two words, "Hei, there's a kid in the car!" So is guy the father or the driver? Well I wasn't going to go back to find out, cuz I felt it would not serve any purpose these days. I used to tell people off when they behave like an idiot on the road infront of their kids, what a bad example they are setting. But I've found that to be useless these days, and I can't be bothered anymore... unless... These guys get to me when I am 'in-the-mood' =)

Anyway, not gonna spoil my day... Gonna shower and take my lunch... adios amicos!
